About Our Organization

We offer interaction for you and your child
Professional Moms at Home (PMAH) is a group specifically organized for women like you in
your new role as a stay-at-home mom. Our events and activities provide playful, age-specific
interaction for your child, but just as importantly, supportive interaction for you. Our organization-
wide events include special activities for preschool children of all ages as well as mom-only
events that focus on you and your mental and physical well-being. Our members have in
common the unique intellectual, emotional and practical joys and challenges that arise from
the decision to interrupt careers in order to be the hands-on caregivers of our children.
We’re where you are
Most of our members live in or near Annapolis, Maryland, where the group was founded.
However, the loose structure of the organization allows us to start new subgroups wherever our
members live. Those areas include, for example, Davidsonville, Severna Park, Pasadena,
Arnold, Crofton, Edgewater, Crownsville, Millersville, etc. We'll work with you to get in touch with
at-home moms near you! We also have members in Queen Anne County too!
Mom and Tot playgroups
PMAH organizes its members into subgroups by the age of each member's child or children.
These subgroups function as a valuable social outlet and source of support for at-home moms
as well as age-appropriate playgroups for their children. Moms find advice on children’s
issues, support in their decision to stay home and friends to share the joys and challenges of
raising their children. The kids have a great time and develop social skills by playing with
children their own age.
Fun events for children
PMAH organizes group-wide children’s activities and events for preschoolers such as a holiday
parties, craft projects and field trips.
Activities just for moms
PMAH’s activities for moms include Girl's Night Out events, book groups, speakers and
seminars on family-oriented topics, community service projects and an annual Pamper Me
Party.
Awaiting a New Baby?
Moms-to-be who plan to stay home after the baby arrives are welcome to join us now! Most of
our mom-only events are in the evening, and joining us while you're expecting will give you a
chance to make new friends and form a new support network.
